Join us as we welcome Patrick Murray, Director of Global Retail Sales Development (Retired) at Intel, to the MEM Program’s Think and Lead Seminar Series. He will be discussing effective mentoring – as a mentor and mentee.
Patrick Murray earned his BSIE from NC State in 1988. Including his time as a co-op, he spent 30 years at Intel Corporation as an applications engineer, managing several strategy and product planning teams, and creating and managing Intel’s Global ISV Alliances Team. He closed his career managing Intel’s WW Retail Sales Development Team.
As a retiree, Patrick started volunteering for the ISE Department as an alumni-student mentor and worked on special projects for the department head and the Advisory Board. In the Spring of 2020, he began serving as an Industry/Executive coach supporting ISE undergraduate students in their senior design engineering class.
Additionally, he now serves as an Adjunct Lecturer for ISE216 and ISE589/MBA555. In addition to volunteering with the ISE Department, Murray serves on the Raleigh Charter High School board of directors. Furthermore, he is the vice-chair of the Town of Cary’s Information Services Advisory Board.
He also serves as an industry mentor at Duke University’s Kenan Institute for Ethics and the University of Southern California’s Viterbi School of Engineering. Patrick is also a Miracle League baseball coach.
