Annalise Kircik

Annalise Kircik comes from Charlotte, North Carolina. She earned a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from NC State and UNC. Now, she pursues a Master of Engineering Management degree.

Moreover, she has professional experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Her work emphasizes process improvement and manufacturing optimization. In addition, she has research experience in cystic fibrosis muco-corrective therapies.

Outside of academics and work, she enjoys playing pickleball, cycling, and baking. Furthermore, she looks forward to serving as an MEM Ambassador this semester. Finally, she welcomes questions and is eager to connect with others.

Madeleine Hetzel

Madeleine Hetzel is a current Master of Engineering Management student at NC State. She began the program as an Accelerated Bachelor’s/Master’s (ABM) student and is now fully enrolled in the MEM program. Madeleine works as a substation designer at Kiewit, where she supports engineering design and gains hands-on experience with large-scale infrastructure projects. As an MEMbassador, she is excited to connect with prospective students, share her experiences in the program, and help others navigate their path into the MEM program at NC State.

Nitya Janani Jothilingam

Nitya Janani Jothilingam is a Master of Engineering Management student at NC State University. She follows the Build Your Own Concentration track. She comes from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Previously, she earned a B.Tech. in Polymer and Plastics Technology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Anna University’s Madras Institute of Technology.

Beyond work and academics, Nitya remains active in leadership, sports and service. Currently, she serves as an incoming Executive Committee member and Outreach Lead for the IEEE TEMS Chapter at NC State. In addition, she brings curiosity and empathy to problem-solving.

Want to be a MEMbassador?

The Master of Engineering Management Program at NC State seeks highly qualified students to join our MEMbassador team. MEMbassadors provide excellent service, develop leadership skills, and grow personally and professionally. They participate in outreach, recruiting, retention, and, most importantly, student success. Their goal is to enrich the educational experience for all students.

As a MEMbassador, you will promote the MEM Program and mentor new students. You should be enthusiastic and have a strong work ethic. On average, you will work 10 hours a week, including some nights and weekends, and participate in leadership training. Opportunities to work over the summer are also available. The MEMbassador Team comprises experienced engineering management students eager to help their peers.

Qualifications

To become a MEMbassador, you need:

  • A high level of personal and professional character.
  • To be willing to develop leadership skills and commit to working on a team.
  • To dedicate yourself to delivering more than what’s asked.
  • To show enthusiasm about the impact of engineering and management on our College and the University.
  • To be available to serve on our team for at least one semester.
  • To have satisfactory academic progress toward your MEM degree and be in good standing with the University.

Expectations

  • Attend MEMbassador team training sessions.
  • Participate in most MEM-related events throughout the semester, such as orientations, seminars, and celebrations.
