MEM: Describe NC State for you in one word. Why?

PUTTASWAMY: NC State for me in one word: Catalyst. I see NC State as a catalyst for my dreams and aspirations because I believe it will provide me with the necessary support, resources, and opportunities to spark my journey toward achieving my goals.

MEM: What makes you excited to get out of bed in the morning?

PUTTASWAMY: Every morning, I wake up fueled by the prospect of encountering new faces, delving into uncharted knowledge, embracing unique experiences, and inching toward the realization of my dreams.

MEM: What is your superpower?

PUTTASWAMY: My superpower is akin to being able to have meaningful conversations with a rock; I can connect with people and things in a profound and empathetic manner, bridging gaps and forming deep connections.

MEM: What is the best piece of advice you have ever received?

PUTTASWAMY: The best piece of advice I’ve ever received, “You never lose until you die,” was a wisdom imparted to me by my grandmother, a woman of immense resilience. It’s a reminder that even in the face of adversity, we can overcome and achieve our dreams if we persevere with unwavering resilience.

MEM: Best recreational activity in your opinion? 

PUTTASWAMY: The best recreational activity, in my view, is a  walk or trek, shared with company but cherished in solitude. Enjoying the evening roads or eagerly waiting to catch a glimpse of sunset at the peak
