Meet a MEMtor

The MEM Mentoring Program connects older students (MEMtors) with new ones to offer advice and support. MEMtors help new students with their studies, getting used to the program, and reaching their goals. This program creates a friendly and helpful learning environment for everyone.

MEMtor Jatin Chaudhari

Jatin Chaudhari believes in being a “Jack of all trades, master of none; still better than the master of one.” He loves creative problem-solving and efficient idea implementation. Improving at translating concepts into action, he excels at clear and persuasive communication. This helps him bridge the gap between vision and reality. Driven by a desire to leave a lasting mark, he views personal and professional growth as a continuous journey. He aims to sharpen his skills and contribute meaningfully to the world. Chaudhari has worked as an MEM Ambassador and EMGSA President. He also interned at Silicon Ranch Corporation as a Business Operations and Technology Intern.

Mrugank Joshi

MEMtor Mrugank Joshi is pursuing a Master’s degree in Engineering Management at NC State University, focusing on Supply Chain Management. With a background in Mechanical Engineering, he has a strong foundation in technical principles and problem-solving. He has diverse experience across various supply chain domains. Currently, he interns as a Supplier Development Engineer at Hitachi Energy. There, he focuses on supplier qualification, classification, and supply chain risk assessment. Previously, he worked on capacity planning and process improvement in the inbound supply chain at Alfa Laval. This role gave him valuable insights into industrial engineering. His past role as an SAP consultant at Accenture supports his work as a techno-functional professional. He is also familiar with ERP systems and data analytics. Outside of work, he enjoys photography and traveling. These hobbies allow him to explore new perspectives and cultures.

MEMtor Alekhyaa Nelluri

MEMtor Alekhyaa Nelluri specializes in the Analytics track. Her data analytics coursework in MEM and an undergraduate degree in Information Technology showed her passion for real-time problem-solving. She interned as a business analyst intern at Mayne Pharma. There, she developed time series analysis models and Power BI dashboards for the analytics team. She believes strong data-driven decisions and great analytical experiences make employees invaluable in this data-centric world. Outside of work, she enjoys storytelling, protein talks, and volleyball.

MEMtor Maitreyi Patil

“Embrace every opportunity to learn, grow, and make a positive impact.” This quote guides Maitreyi Patil. Currently pursuing an MEM at NCSU, she had an enriching summer internship at Red Hat. There, she immersed herself in software development and management tasks like strategic planning and communication. She actively participated in PI planning as part of the Agile delivery transformation team.

Her journey has been diverse. She studied Electronics and Telecommunication and worked in IT as a software developer and systems engineer. Additionally, she gained insights into manufacturing with MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems). Maitreyi realized early in her career that connecting with people and making a real impact drives her passion. Pursuing an MEM allows her to bridge technology and management, blending technical expertise with leadership skills.

Outside of work, she loves music. You’ll frequently find her singing, exploring new places, especially cafes, or occasionally trying her hand at cooking. Whether you are curious about campus life, need downtown recommendations, or just want a chat, she’s all ears! Let’s connect, learn, and make great memories together.

Sanjana Rao

MEMtor Sanjana Rao has always loved managing and leading people. As a child, she pretended to manage an imaginary salon and organized neighborhood plays. Her experience as a Business Functional and Change Management Analyst highlighted the importance of translating technology into business language. Pursuing a Master’s in Engineering Management has been her guiding star. After a year in the program, she is eager to join others on this journey.

Vipin Varughese

Memtor Vipin Varughese has gained the prospect of a mechanical and production design engineering domain in India. He decided to pursue his master’s at NC State with a career path focused on supply chain and adapting to business (management) proficiency required to attain leadership-level roles. Varughese is currently interning at Jacobs Engineering as a Supply Management Intern, with his responsibilities involving optimization of critical metrics of post-award and closeout process within Jacobs procurement department and implementing business and data analytical skills and tools for cost-effective purchasing and material management strategies. He is committed to fostering a supportive and enriching environment for his mentees, empowering them to achieve their academic and personal goals with confidence and resilience.

MEMtor Vrushal Naik

Vrushal Naik is a project and program management data analyst enthusiast. He is currently interning as a Technical Program Manager at Tesla. He has a diverse background in the manufacturing, automobile, and robotics industries. Additionally, Naik is open to offering career guidance, life advice, or just a casual chat.
