Pavankumar Balekundri
Pavankumar Balekundri is a skilled engineer passionate about managing projects and driving impactful innovations by integrating technology and management. He is currently specializing in Supply Chain Management. With a background in mechanical engineering and professional experience at JSW Steel Ltd, Balekundri has honed his skills in process optimization and project leadership. He is also active in athletics, serving as a swim instructor and lifeguard at Wellness and Recreation, NC State.
Balekundri embraces the challenges and continuously seeks to advance technology and management practices. He strives to contribute effectively to our global future.

Jaclyn Kenzel
Jaclyn Kenzel is a first-year Master of Engineering student at NC State University, specializing in analytics. With a background in chemical engineering, she is excited to explore the business side of engineering and enhance her problem-solving skills in new ways. As a student-athlete on the women’s golf team, Kenzel enjoys the challenges and camaraderie of competitive sports. She enjoys spending time with friends, working out, hiking, and line dancing. Kenzel is enthusiastic about her journey in the MEM program and looks forward to leveraging her diverse experiences to make meaningful contributions to the field of engineering management.

Christian Shuping
Christian Shuping works as an engineering technician for Kisinger Campo & Associates. He serves as the district lead for the NC Department of Transportation, focusing on development operations in Rowan County. He earned his bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and preliminary law from Appalachian State University.
In 2021, Shuping began his graduate studies at NC State as a part-time student to advance his engineering career. This effort led to his acceptance into the MEM program, where he specializes in Facilities Engineering.
Shuping feels honored to work with the MEM leadership staff to improve the program. His main goal is to ensure students get a top-quality education and a memorable experience at NC State.

Want to be a MEMbassador?
The Master of Engineering Management Program at NC State seeks highly qualified students to join our MEMbassador team. MEMbassadors provide excellent service, develop leadership skills, and grow personally and professionally. They participate in outreach, recruiting, retention, and, most importantly, student success. Their goal is to enrich the educational experience for all students.
As a MEMbassador, you will promote the MEM Program and mentor new students. You should be enthusiastic and have a strong work ethic. You will work an average of 10 hours a week, including some nights and weekends, and participate in leadership training. Opportunities to work over the summer are also available. The MEMbassador Team consists of experienced engineering management students eager to help their peers.
Qualifications
To become a MEMbassador, you need:
- A high level of personal and professional character.
- To be willing to develop leadership skills and commit to working on a team.
- To dedicate yourself to delivering more than what’s asked.
- To show enthusiasm about the impact of engineering and management on our College and the University.
- To be available to serve on our team for at least one semester.
- To have satisfactory academic progress toward your MEM degree and be in good standing with the University.
Expectations
- Attend MEMbassador team training sessions.
- Participate in most MEM-related events throughout the semester, such as orientations, seminars, and celebrations.
