Analytics

Avishek Mukherjee is a Master of Engineering Management Program student at NC State whose concentration is Analytics. As a graduate student, he is learning to apply engineering principles and methods to optimize complex systems and processes. He has bachelor’s degree in computer science from Dayananda Sagar College of Engineering and more than two years of work experience as a data analyst and software developer.

If creating and building are the wheels of engineering, bringing those wheels together seamlessly so that the whole is larger than the sum of its parts depends on management. The concept of managing technology-driven organizations to growth and development has fascinated Mukherjee ever since his Bachelor’s. Over the past few years, companies across industries are adopting technology at a much faster rate. Many parts of the value chain of a business can now use technology through machine learning, artificial intelligence, and robotics. The use of these technologies is driving productivity improvement, higher operating efficiency, and competitive advantage.

Mukherjee has developed and deployed multiple robotic process automation (RPA) solutions for various clients. He has also led a team that created an RPA solution for an Australian electricity and gas distributor, which improved cost savings and customer service. He has strong data analysis, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Mukherjee aims to leverage his education and experience to design and implement innovative and efficient solutions for real-world challenges in the engineering and industrial sectors.
