Bio

Nitya Janani Jothilingam is a Master of Engineering Management student at NC State University in the Build Your Own Concentration track. Originally from Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, she brings a global perspective to her studies. Prior to graduate school, she earned a B.Tech. in Polymer and Plastics Technology from the Madras Institute of Technology at Anna University, which provided a strong technical foundation.

Following her undergraduate studies, she began her career as a Startup Scaling Executive and Project Manager at IIT Madras Research Park. In this role, she worked with over four deep-tech startups in the HealthTech, SaaS, AI, and robotics sectors. As a result, her experience spans early ideation through Series A and B stages. Subsequently, she interned as a Product Manager at an Australian HealthTech SaaS company. There, she launched new product verticals and managed operations across APAC regions. Through these roles, she strengthened her ability to connect engineering teams with management and strategy.

Beyond academics and professional work, Nitya remains actively involved in sports, volunteering, and student leadership. In addition, she brings curiosity and empathy into everything she does. As she moves forward, she seeks Product and Project internships for Summer 2026. In particular, she is interested in Cloud, AI, and technology roles. Ultimately, she aims to solve real-world problems through engineering decisions that support business needs.
