Bio

Akash Raghav is a master’s student in Engineering Management at NC State, specializing in supply chain management. As a result, he approaches his work with curiosity and structure while seeking better ways to connect data, systems and people. Because of this, he studies problems deeply and designs solutions that make processes smoother and more reliable.

Most recently, Raghav worked as a Logistics and Commercial Operations Intern at Neste where he strengthened his operational thinking and supported real-time decisions in fast-moving environments. Previously, he served as an Associate Analyst at LTIMindtree, gaining hands-on experience in procurement operations and process improvement. Earlier in his journey, he began his career as an Analyst Intern at HighRadius where he first explored the connection between supply chain planning and data-driven decision-making. These experiences showed him how systems function as networks, where small changes can create a meaningful impact.

At NC State, Raghav is exploring how technology, analytics and engineering leadership can improve supply chain performance. Additionally, he is interested in building efficient and scalable processes and utilizing data to enhance operational clarity. His goal is to grow into a role where he can support and lead cross-functional teams in organizations that value innovation, sustainability and continuous improvement.

Outside academics and work, Raghav enjoys discovering new places, trying new cuisines and staying connected with friends and family. Overall, he is motivated by learning, collaboration and the belief that every experience teaches something valuable.

Leadership Roles

Alongside his academic journey, Raghav stays involved in leadership and community roles that help him support others and contribute to the NC State community. As a result, he believes leadership grows through consistency, service and showing up when people need support. These experiences have strengthened that belief.

As an Operations Manager at Talley Student Union, Raghav leads student staff and helps oversee daily operations in one of the busiest spaces on campus. In this role, he learned to stay calm under pressure, coordinate across teams and make decisions that keep events running smoothly. More importantly, he learned how to support people whether he is guiding student employees, helping guests or solving unexpected challenges.

Raghav also serves as a peer mentor for the Engineering Management program. Through this work, he supports incoming students as they navigate coursework, internships and early career planning. Mentorship has taught him the value of patience, empathy and trust built through honest conversations.

In addition, Raghav serves as President of EMGSA where he works with a dedicated team to strengthen community, support student development and create inclusive spaces. As a result, he has developed as a communicator and collaborator, learning to bring diverse individuals together around shared goals.

Across all these roles, one theme stays constant for Raghav: people. Each day, he is reminded that leadership is less about authority and more about responsibility. It involves creating environments where others can succeed and showing commitment when it matters most.
