For the last twenty years\, she has forged her own way in progressive leadership roles within higher education\, association management\, healthcare marketing\, special effects makeup artistry\, and cutting-edge technology companies. \nToday\, she focuses her expertise on workshop facilitation for process improvement using design thinking. Additionally\, she works on executive branding and communications\, as well as strategy development for teams\, organizations\, and corporate functions. \nMoreover\, she is a social justice activist and an avid home baker. Anne lives in Raleigh\, NC\, with her two beloved kittens\, Bianca and Bernard.

DESCRIPTION:Join us as we welcome Christopher Rock\, associate research professor and Manager of Outreach and Customer Support (CAMAL) at NC State University\, to the MEM Program’s Think and Lead Seminar Series as he discusses how to seek and develop professional relationships. \nAbstract\nThe professional relationships we establish throughout our working lives can help make or break our careers. These professional relationships become some of the greatest assets or obstacles associated with career growth. Often professional relationships enable employment opportunities\, new collaborations\, mentorship and new career directions. In this seminar\, we will discuss how to make new professional relationships and strengthen them over time. \nBiography\nDr. Rock was a process and R&D metallurgist in industry for 18 years before joining the Center for Additive Manufacturing and Logistics at NCSU in 2016. He has experience in process & physical metallurgy\, project management\, modeling and additive manufacturing. Currently at NC State\, he is active in metals research using laser powder bed fusion and new alloy development for AM applications.
