Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program

Last Updated: 08/31/2022 and all information on this page is accurate and up-to-date

Here at NC State, we value your service and military experience. Therefore we offer the unique opportunity for qualified naval personnel to complete an accelerated Master of Engineering Management (MEM) degree leveraging your Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program experience. Suppose you are a US Navy officer or another qualified military veteran or service member. In that case, you can transfer up to four courses (12 credit hours) that satisfy the program’s technical elective requirements. With your transferred credits, you only need to complete six additional courses (18 credit hours).

Engineering management plays a vital role in bridging the gap between the business and technical world. Companies need strong leaders, just as the military services do. Fortunately, engineering management offers plentiful opportunities to lead and grow. The leadership and problem-solving skills you mastered in the Armed Forces can make you a great candidate for success in this field. When you apply to our program, you will find opportunities to expand your knowledge and build your network. Likewise, our program will allow you to jumpstart your career with an accelerated program created just for you.

We offer you the flexibility to complete your MEM degree online or on-campus. As a result, you have the option to continue your education in whichever environment best serves you.
